Hi, I’m Suz!
I’ve loved sewing for as long as I can remember and spent years creating pieces for family and friends. After becoming a stay-at-home mom, I found myself longing for a creative outlet—something that brought joy in the middle of everyday motherhood. That’s when I discovered how much I loved creating clothing for my own kids.
I was drawn to classic styles, playful prints, and pieces that children actually wanted to wear. I wanted clothing that felt as good as it looked—soft, comfortable, and made for everything from everyday adventures to life’s sweetest celebrations.
As Sew Sweet grew, so did the heart behind it.
What started as creating handmade pieces for little ones grew into a bigger dream: creating clothing that helps people feel confident, joyful, and completely themselves.
That dream is what inspired Life in Color, our women’s collection designed to help women embrace the colors that make them feel their best. Inspired by color analysis and the beauty of the seasonal color palettes, Life in Color takes the guesswork out of getting dressed by helping women discover the shades that naturally complement them. My hope is that every woman can open her closet, feel confident in what she’s wearing, and see the beauty that was already there.
More than creating beautiful clothing, I wanted to create pieces that would become part of a family’s story. Clothes that could be worn, loved, washed, and passed down from one child to the next. Pieces that would hold up through countless memories and still be ready for the next adventure.
Most of all, I wanted Sew Sweet to be a reminder of something much bigger.
Psalm 139:14 has always held a special place in my heart: “I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.” That verse became the foundation of this brand and the reason behind everything I create.
My hope is that every piece brings a little more joy, a little more color, and a gentle reminder that every child—and every woman—is wonderfully made, deeply loved, and created with purpose.
